Since 1975, Georgetown University School of Medicine has conducted a one-year special program leading to a Masters of Science degree in Physiology called the Special Master’s Program (SMP). The program is tailored to college graduates who wish to strengthen their credentials for application to U.S. medical schools. SMP students take medical level classes with the 1st year medical students at Georgetown SOM. The SMP provides a powerful message to medical school admission committees – the knowledge that our students can thrive academically at an advanced level.

Come learn about the different types of Postbacc programs that exist and what Georgetown's SMP has to offer!
